Become a SupporterIn 2019, we started this event with one goal: to bring people together and row for something bigger than themselves. What began as a local fundraiser has grown into Westborough's signature community event — uniting families, coaches, athletes, and local businesses around a mission that matters.
Youth sports are facing a crisis. And we're seeing it right here in Westborough. 70% of kids quit organized sports by age 12. Club sports have become a billion-dollar industry pricing families out. Fewer kids are signing up for town teams. Coaches can't step up because the support structure doesn't exist.
These aren't failures of people — they're symptoms of a broken system. Row for Westborough is how we start fixing it.
We're building a town-wide effort bringing youth and high school coaches together — educational resources, leadership workshops, and mentorship tools that make sports fun again and keep kids in the game longer.
Something for every age and every athlete — from seasoned rowers to first-timers, from high schoolers to youth athletes, to families cheering from the sidelines.
Everyone starts together this year at 10AM — heat assignments go out the week of the event once we know how many teams have signed up.
Parents, coaches, and community members form relay teams and take on the ultimate rowing challenge.
High school sports teams battle for bragging rights — row as many meters as possible in one hour.
A "combine-style" fitness event for younger athletes — test speed, strength, agility, and grit across 8–10 stations.
More than a rowathon — a full community celebration in the Prototype lot. Live music by DJ Gerry, food trucks, local vendors, pony rides, face painting, bouncy house, and raffle prizes. Free and open to everyone.
Every dollar raised is split equally between two organizations that have been driving youth athletics in Westborough for decades. Your sponsorship and participation directly fund real programs for real kids in our town.
WASA has been the backbone of Westborough's youth sports community — running recreational leagues, supporting town teams, and making sure every kid has access to organized athletics regardless of their family's financial situation.
The Boosters support Westborough High School athletics across all sports and all seasons — funding the experiences that make being a Rangers athlete something special, and removing the financial barriers that can hold student-athletes back.
